At some point in our natural lives, if are names are in the Lamb’s book of life, the Spirit of God will “call” us into life from that state of death. At this time, we are transformed from enemies of God into children.
Like the natural birth, we won’t know this for some time.
Perhaps as time passes, we’ll be exposed to the gospel and it will witness to the Spirit of God within us.

"Conditions" of Eternal Life
Jhn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
How is this love in John 3:16 so great, yet conditional to only those that believeth?
Perhaps it’s because no one ever reads the verses around 3:16 - to establish the context. Let’s talk about the verse “the whole world” can quote, but not quite understand.
World - in this verse is applied to “those under consideration.” The use of the word “world” throughout the New Testament establishes that “world” does not mean “every person in every age, in every locale.” Not even close.
The Then Known World
Lord's Prayer
Did he “love” them in John 3:16, but not pray for them in John 17?
John 3:16 is not an “invitation” to accept or reject - it’s a statement of the mission of Christ. Jhn 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. BEFORE THEY HAD A CHANCE TO ACCEPT OR BELIEVE.
Serpent
“As” means “like” or in similar manner. In the case of the serpent in the wilderness quoted in John 3:14 - not everyone looked upon the serpent. NOT EVERYONE LIVED.
